Jennifer Lawrence reveals how movie reviews hurt recent relationship

Jennifer Lawrence has recently opened up about the final days of her relationship with director Darren Aronofsky, who she worked with on her most recent movie 'Mother!'.

The Oscar winning actress has explained that the film's reviews played a pretty large part in their split.

Although she doesn't normally read critiques about her work, Aronofsky wanted to read as many review as he could about his latest film, many of which were negative.

She also explained that going on a press tour as a couple was hard work.

She would get back to the hotel after a long day talking about the movie, and would want to forget about it.

Whereas he would come back to their room, and that's all he would want to talk about.

Eventually, the actress simply had enough, and realised it wasn't healthy to read so many reviews about her work.

Jennifer and Darren split up after a year of dating, but remain close friends.
