(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) Motorists experienced major delays in different parts of Dubai and Abu Dhabi during the rush hour commute on Wednesday morning.
Dubai Police reported an accident through their official Twitter handle. "Traffic jam due to accident on airport rd towards Al Rashidiya, please take care and alternative ways," the tweet read.
According to TrafficDXB on Twitter, an accident was reportedD61 Hessa Street nearAl Khail Road towards Sheikh Zayed Road, causing congestion and tailback.

- TrafficDXB (@trafficdxb) According to Google Mapsdata, huge tailbacks were observed on Sheikh Zayed Road towards Dubai from Sharjah. Slow moving traffic was also observed on Sheikh Zayed Road's E11 - from Al Nahda street towards Dubai.
Motorists are advised to drive safely and take alternate routes wherever possible.
