Discom to revamp power infrastructure in Pataudi, Heramandi and Farrukhnagar

Power discom DHBVN has initiated work under Integrated Power Development System (IPDS) in areas such as Pataudi, Heramandi and Farrukhnagar to improve infrastructure. The discom officials said that since these areas did not come under the smart grid project proposed for the city, their infrastructure would be improved under the IPDS scheme to ensure uninterrupted supply. IPDS is a Rs 23 crore centrally-sponsored project."There are two such schemes," said Anil Goyal, superintendent engineer, old Gurgaon. "IPDS for urban areas and Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Yojana for rural feeders." Goyal said, "We are bifurcating all overloaded feeders and injecting more transformers. Conductors will be examined and replaced with high-end XLPE cables.
