Thief arrested within 2 hours of the incident at Kundapur

Kundapur: Within a span of 2 hours after the theft incident, the police arrested the accused who made away with ornaments in broad daylight robbery in PWD quarters near Kundapur.

The accused has been identified as Harish Acharya (46), a resident of Kombashi.

Sources said that the accused entered the house by breaking the main door, as the occupants were out with some work. Harish stole the ornaments kept in the house and later escaped from the rear door. The house belonged to a person named Ravi. The incident came to light when Ravi's wife returned home and saw the doors were broke open. She immediately briefed the incident to police. On receiving the tip-off, the police came to an action and within a span of 2 hours, Harish was arrested near Kundapur market. 

The gold ornaments were then recovered from him. It was also said that Harish was involved in many theft cases.
