Only BJP capable to provide better facilities to citizens: CM
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that opposition parties have almost accepted defeat in the civic polls and only the BJP could provide better facilities to the urban citizens.
Yogi was speaking to media persons in Gorakhpur on Wednesday after casting his vote at the primary girls school polling booth near Gorakhnath temple. He was among the first VVIPs to cast his vote after polling started at 7 am.
“The BJP is set to repeat its feat of 2017 Assembly polls as people are supporting party candidates in the entire state. People are impressed with the government’s performance and have decided to vote for the party in the civic elections,” he said
“The Opposition stands nowhere in these elections and have almost given a walkover to BJP. The poll trends are in favour of BJP candidates”, the CM said and assured people that the party was committed to uplift of basic infrastructure in the urban areas.
“We will strengthen the local bodies and focus on solving problems of street vendors and also launch anti-encroachment drives to end traffic snarls,” he said.
Yogi added that schemes like Smart Cities Mission, AMRUIT and Deen Dayal Upadhyay would surely end the miseries of urban population.
“It will be better if we have BJP in power starting from the Centre to the ward. This will also help in better utilization of money as major chunk of funds were coming from the Centre,” he said.
Later Yogi campaigned in Allahabad and Varanasi where polling for civic polls are scheduled on November 26 and 29.
