IICB Institute was established in 1935 as the first non official centre in India for biomedical research and was included within the aegis of CSIR in 1956.
IICB today is engaged in research on diseases of national importance and biological problems of global interest, employing sophisticated state-of-the-art technology in keeping with the rapid and unprecedented momentum that life science research has gained globally over the last 50 years.

Name of the Project : 'CSIR Sickle Cell Anemia Mission.'

Sponsor of the Project : CSIR.   

Name of the PI/Co-PI : Dr. Biswadip Banerji.

Qualification required : MS(Pharm) in Medicinal Chemistry with at least 55% marks or Ph.D in Synthetic organic chemistry, peptide synthesis and its biophysical studies, inhibitor design and screening

Required Experience : At least two(2) years of post MS(Pharm) research experience in synthetic organic lab o medicinal chemistry, drug design, organic synthesis, Mol Modeling, basic cell Culture etc.

Duration of the Project : One(1) year.   

Age Limit : 35 Years   

Stipend : Rs.36,000 + HRA.
