Hidden teak wood logs seized in Mundgod

Mundgod: Logs of teak wood worth Rs 4 lakh, which were hid near Karavalli stream in Mundgod taluk, were seized by Mundgod Forest staff recently.

Few days back, forest thieves had chopped four teak trees grown in encroached land in Karavalli Forest Survey No: 21. While investigating this case, the forest personnel found the teak wood logs near the stream.

Range Forest Officer Suresh Kallolli said that they are investigating to nab the accused involved in the case.
