A case of sexual harassment allegedly by a ward member with a minor school girl came to light under Ranka police station.
The family members of the victim belonging to Tamgae kalla village has lodged an FIR with Ranka police station.
The victim alleged in the FIR that the ward member Dinesh Singh of ward No. 4 has been sexually harassing her for two years.
Police said that person who is the father of three children has been accused of having sex with her. He is said to have been seducing her for the past two years.
On Thursday night, the victim was sleeping with her mother in the home when the accused tried to take her away from there. On being unsuccessful, he warned of dire consequences, saying that ‘you have to live as my mistress.’Later the girl told her mother about all this and the FIR was lodged against the accused in Ranka police station on Sunday. Police said that accused will be arrested soon.
