Launching of Web-Portal of Chandigarh Skill Development Mission (CSDM)

Chandigarh, 29th November, 2017:  The web portal www.utcsdm.org of Chandigarh Skill Development Mission was launched today by Sh. V.P Singh Badnore, Governor of Punjab and Administrator, Union Territory of Chandigarh. Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Adviser to Administrator, Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, Home Secretary–cum-Secretary Technical Education, Sh. Ajoy Kumar Sinha, IAS, Finance Secretary, Sh. Arjun Sharma, IAS, Director Information Technology, Sh. Rakesh Kumar Popli, PCS, Director Technical Education-cum-Mission Director and Sh. Rajat Bhatnagar, State Engagement Officer of National Skill Development Corporation, New Delhi were present during the occasion.

Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS informed that the web portal will enable the youth to get themselves registered online for admission to various courses under Skill Development Schemes especially Pardhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) on first come first serve basis.  The Skill Development courses under PMKVY will be free of cost.  Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore appreciated the effort of Chandigarh  Skill Development Mission and emphasized that all efforts should be made to provide skill training to aspirants especially unemployed youth to help them in securing better livelihood.

Online registration is open for candidates at www.utcsdm.org for various Skill Development Courses in Sectors/Job Roles of Apparel, IT/ITES, Tourism & Hospitality, Beauty and Wellness, Retail, Telecommunication and Healthcare under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY) under Centrally Sponsored & State Managed (CSSM) component.
