Bhatkal: Two students from Anjuman selected for University teams

Bhatkal: Two students from Anjuman Degree College and PG center of Bhatkal were selected for the Karnataka University's Dharwad (KUD) Kabaddi and Shuttle Badminton team. It may be noted that the KUD sports teams are comprised of the best players from every division of the state. 

Sandra Pinto  D/o Tivan Pinto was selected in University Kabaddi team and Abdul Hussain Maalik Damda Abu S/o late Abdul Salam Damda Abu in Badminton. Both have also received several honours in Pre-university level and high school. 

It may also be noted that Sandra pinto was adjudged university blue in volleyball this year. Pinto gained the distinction in “University Blue” and became the first woman in volleyball as well as Kabaddi this time, not only from Anjuman institutions, but from the entire Bhatkal to achieve the distinction. 

President of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Abdul Rahim Jukaku, General Secretary Ismail Siddique, College Secretary Javid Hussain Armar, Principal Mushtaque Bavikatte, Physical directors Kaleemullah and the college students congratulated both the players for becoming University Blues at Karnataka University Dharwad.

Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation also congratulated the players and wished them great success in their future endeavors.
