Rallis India surges 6% after fund house buys stake

The fund house bought shares of Rallis India at Rs 230 each on BSE, according to bulk deals data provided by the exchange.
The scrip was trading 6.25 per cent up at Rs 244.70 around 11.15 am (IST). Shares of the company opened at Rs 240 and touched a high and low of Rs 248 and Rs 238.50, respectively, in trade so far. Benchmark BSE Sensex was down 48 points, or 0.14 per cent, at 33,676.
The stock had hit 52-week high of Rs 264.60 on March 31, 2017 and 52-week low of Rs 188.45 on December 29, 2016.
On the BSE, 4.15 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far, compared with average daily volumes of 2.60 shares in the past two weeks.
