Three IIMs in top 50 of QS Masters in Management Rankings 2018, IIM Bangalore leads in 22nd place

MUMBAI: Three IIMs have made it to the top 50 of the Quacquarelli Symonds Masters in Management Rankings 2018.

IIM Bangalore and IIM Ahmedabad are in the top 25, at 22nd and 23rd spots respectively. IIM Calcutta is in the 46th place.

Topped by France’s HEC Paris, this ranking saw London Business School’s MIM program rank 2nd, while Spain’s ESADE places 3rd.

The rankings were part of a portfolio of four business Masters rankings released by QS on Tuesday. This includes a first-of-its-kind global evaluation of the best Masters in Business Analytics, alongside two specialised Masters rankings (Masters in Management and Masters in Finance), and a new Global MBA Ranking offering unique insight into the relationship between business school choice and entrepreneurship.

There is no Indian programme in the QS World University Rankings: Masters in Finance 2018 (MiF) which has London Business School on top.

The QS World University Rankings: Global MBA 2018 has Harvard Business School in top spot with two French institutions, INSEAD and HEC Paris, taking 2nd and 3rd position respectively.

232 programs are ranked.

There are five Indian programmes featured in this table.IIM Ahmedabad is at 49, IIM Bangalore at 58, Indian School of Business at 93, IIM Calcutta in the 121-130 band and SPJIMR in the 200+ band.

The five-metrics used by QS are Employability, Entrepreneurship and Alumni Outcomes, return on Investment; Thought-Leadership; and diversity.
