Canara Bank down over 1% on plan to sale non-core assets

Shares of Canara Bank dipped over 1 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the bank announced that it will dispose its non-core assets to shore up its capital position. Following the announcement, shares of bank declined as much as 1.35 per cent to touch intra-day low of Rs 393.05 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

In a similar fashion, shares of the lender were trading 1.35 per cent lower at Rs 393.55 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 33,576.18, up 14.63 points, or 0.04 per cent, at 12:40 hours.
