Barcelona handed HUGE injury boost for Real Madrid clash

BARCELONA winger Ousmane Dembele will return from a long-standing hamstring injury in two weeks.

The speedy recovery means he could be available for the clash against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on December 23.

Dembele joined Barcelona in the summer for an initial fee of £96million from German outfit Borussia Dortmund.

The Frenchman was signed to replace Brazilian Neymar, who was sold to Paris Saint-Germain for £198m.

However, on his full debut against Getafe, Dembele tore his hamstring and was subsequently forced to have surgery to rectify the problem.

But after working hard to shorten the recovery period, Dembele has confirmed that he could return to action sooner than planned.

“In two weeks I'll be back with the group,” Dembele told Canal+.

“It will be very difficult due to the amount of training I will have to do but I will be working extremely hard every single day to get back as soon as possible.”

Dembele signed a five-year deal at the Nou Camp in the summer.

But his services have hardly been missed as Barcelona have romped to the top of the La Liga table with a four-point gap over Valencia.

Dembele should be back for the trip to Madrid, which will be a timely boost given that Gareth Bale will also be back in action for the clash.

The Welshman has struggled with a thigh injury but is set to be available for selection this week
