Bhatkal: Host Parashuram Bhatkal defeated Jala-durga Udupi by 17-14 in the final to win Kabaddi Championship title at the Inter-District Kabaddi Tournament. The two days flood light Kabaddi tournament was ended on Monday early morning.

The winning team Parashuram got a trophy along with Rs. 30,000, while runners-up Jala-durga Udupi were awarded Rs. 20,000 along with a trophy. 

Manoj Naik who played for Parashuram declared as the Best all-rounder of the tournament and player of the final match, while Vishwa Annappa Naik of Parashuram declared best catcher and Vikranth of Jala-durga Udupi as the best rider of the tournament. 

On the occasion, Harish Naik of Sarpankatta sports club and member of Karnataka Bengaluru Bull and five others were felicitated for outstanding performance in Kabaddi filed.

At the closing ceremony, Kannada Sahitya Parishad President Gangadhar Naik welcomed the guests and the spectators. Ex-MLA J D Naik, Preside over the function.

The chief guest of the closing ceremony, Ramadas Prabhu, Shivani Shantaram, Inayatullah Shabandri, TMC President Matta Mohammed Sadique, Sridhar Naik, Venkatesh Devadiga, Nazeer Kashimji, Azizur Rahman Ruknuddin, Nagesh Devadiga, Sachin Naik, Ganesh Naik and many others were present.
