Shares of Axis Bank (Rs 131.45 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 79.06 crore), SBI (Rs 77.82 crore), Larsen & Toubro (Rs 77.14 crore) and ITC (Rs 73.54 crore) were among the most active stocks in value terms on NSE on Tuesday.

It was followed by Maruti Suzuki (Rs 63.22 crore), Petronet LNG (Rs 58.49 crore), UPL Ltd (Rs 55.92 crore), RIL (Rs 54.96 crore), NTPC (Rs 54.38 crore), PNB (Rs 45.69 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 40.36 crore), Infosys (Rs 35.82 crore), HDFC (Rs 32.56 crore), PowerGrid (Rs 32.25 crore), GAIL (Rs 30.53 crore), DLF (Rs 28.59 crore), BPCL (Rs 28.08 crore), ONGC (Rs 25.93 crore) and BEL (Rs 25.59 crore).

The NSE Nifty was down 19.80 points at 10379.75 in morning trade on Tuesday around 9.45 am (IST).

In the Nifty 50 index, ONGC (down 2.01 per cent), PowerGrid (down 1.76 per cent), NTPC (down 1.66 per cent), BPCL (down 1.36 per cent), Indian Oil Corp (down 1.29 per cent), ITC (down 1.08 per cent), Larsen & Toubro (down 0.92 per cent) and ICICI Bank (down 0.85 per cent) were among top losers.

On the other hand, UPL Ltd (up 1.15 per cent), IndusInd Bank (up 0.81 per cent), Cipla (up 0.63 per cent), Maruti Suzuki (up 0.63 per cent), HDFC (up 0.62 per cent), Ambuja Cements (up 0.59 per cent), Adani Ports SEZ (up 0.51 per cent) and Bajaj Auto (up 0.51 per cent) were among top gainers of the index.

Malu Paper Mill, 20 Microns, BAG Films, Cantabil Retail, Remsons Ind, Peria Karamalai, Naga Dhunseri Group Ltd., Goldstar Power Ltd., Sicagen India, Super Spinning, IGL, Talbros Auto, Apex Frozen Foods Ltd., Butterfly Gandhi, N K Industries, Nagreeka Capital, California Soft, Autoline Ind, Nitesh Estates, Parsvnath Dev. scaled their fresh 52-week high. On the other hand Gemini Comm, Zicom Elec stocks hit their new 52-week low in the morning trade.
