The Supreme Court on Monday refused to entertain aplea for a DNA test filed by a woman claiming to be the biological daughter of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa.
A bench of Justices Madan B Lokur and Deepak Gupta, however, allowed Amrutha to pursue other remedies available in law. She claimed to have been given in adoption to Jaya's sister and her husband.
Her petition claimed that there were two witnesses when she was given for adoption and she came to know about her real parentage onlywhen her adopted father was on his death bed.
