Budding scientists present their research works

The budding scientists enlivened the second day of the  25th KVS  National Children Science Congress now going on at KV ONGC Dehradun on Friday.  Participants from 25 regions from across India presented their research works on four sub-themes- food and agriculture; health, hygiene and nutrition; lifestyle and livelihood and traditional knowledge system. 

This aside, a seminar was organised during which the students got an opportunity to showcase and share their ideas on scientific innovations and techniques. The judges, impressed by the quality of their research works, said that the future of India seems bright with the students showing  such potential  in the realm of science. Anju Rawat, Scientist-B and in- charge, Patent Information Centre, UCOST addressed the children and elucidated the nuances of the “Intellectual Property Rights”.

She explained to them different techniques of patenting to sensitize the students on patenting rights. Tazuiddin Sheikh, assistant commissioner KVS, (HQ), New Delhi visited the venue and lauded the strong curiosity of the students for things related to science and their eagerness to showcase their scientifically innovative spirit.
