South Africa’s Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters becomes the winner of Miss Universe 2017 at the show that took place in Las Vegas yesterday. India’s Shraddha Shashidhar falls short to secure top 16 positions. The Indians had high expectations from her but she couldn’t able to clinch the title.

The skilled classical dancer amazed at the National Costume competition, where she was observed showcasing the womanly nature of deity in the appearance of Radha. India’s Shashidhar clinched the title of Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva 2017. She was also honored with Miss TGPC (The Great Pageant Community) South this year. She is a famous state-level and national basketball athlete.
The competition was attended by beauties of 92 countries. India’s beauties have so far won this title only twice. Sushmita Sen became the Miss Universe in year 1994 and Lara Dutta in 2000.

The contestants from South Africa, Jamaica and Colombia reached the Final Round of Miss Universe this time. The top 10 finalists were from US, Venezuela, Philippines, Canada, South Africa, Spain, Brazil, Thailand, Jamaica and Colombia.
