Liverpool in for Aubameyang
11.20: Liverpool could make a move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January, according to claims in Germany.
The Borussia Dortmund ace is keen to quit the club and Liverpool have emerged as a potential suitor.
Readbundesliga say Liverpool could look to bring him in if Daniel Sturridge leaves Anfield.
Solanke situation ridiculous
10.00: Steve Bruce has called the Dominic Solanke situation ludicrous.
Solanke has barely featured for Liverpool this term after signing from Chelsea in the summer.
He made his England debut during the international break but still cannot force his way into Jurgen Klopp’s side.
“We need the larger clubs to have associations with the smaller ones,” Bruce said.
“Feeder clubs? Yes. The general consensus is that the Under-23s isn’t quite working.
“If you play when you are 18 and you are successful, you need the next step.
“At the moment, we’ve got the ludicrous situation of Solanke playing for England when he’s hardly had a game with Liverpool. That can’t be right.
“We have young players all over the country doing well - but not playing.
“Surely any young, talented player would prefer turning out for the likes of Forest Green, Bury, Oldham Athletic - you’re better playing there for three months and learning your trade than in the Under-23s.
“I think something like a draft system could work. Loans definitely benefit parent clubs.”
Draxler deal
09.45: Julian Draxler is on Liverpool’s radar according to French football expert Julien Laurens.
“I’m not sure about the loan. I think they might have to sell him because of the rules of Financial Fair Play,” he told ESPN FC.
“We know how much they have spent in the summer and although the news this week has been pretty positive coming from UEFA and Financial Faiy Play.
“But they still feel like they need to sell in January to balance the books even more if you want.
“Draxler is probably the player with the highest value in that squad along with Angel Di Maria and you could easily see one of them two, plus Lucas Moura, or Hatem Ben Arfa being sold in the winter in January.
“I think Draxler has a lot of clubs that like him, Liverpool for example.
“It was either PSG or Liverpool when he joined a bit more than a year ago and he chose PSG. So maybe Liverpool is an option for him.
Klopp’s quit threat
09.30: Jurgen Klopp claims he would quit football rather than winning with the dark arts.
Liverpool let another lead slip - letting Chelsea back into the game in the final 10 minutes.
It comes just days after Liverpool saw a 3-0 lead turned into a draw against Sevilla.
But Klopp insists he won’t change his tactics.
“Having a 1-0 lead against Chelsea is no lead,” said Klopp. “It becomes a real result only in the moment when the final whistle goes.
“So that is completely different to Sevilla. If somebody wants to think in that way I cannot avoid that, but I have not for a second the impression that it is a psychological thing.
“We try to close games down, but we don’t do it in a cynical way. We don’t do, ‘Oh sit down again, this player kind of walking’, you have seven minutes overtime then.
“The day when somebody thinks like this, with not being a proper sportsman and being fair, then I stop. If it’s not okay any more that we try our best, then it is something wrong.
“That’s not my kind of game. Yes, you have to be smart, yes you have to be clever in different situations.”

Grujic out on loan
09.00: Marko Grujic will leave Liverpool on loan in January according to his agent.
Zoran Stojadinovic wants him to get some hame time in England and hopes to sort a deal.
“Grujic has to go somewhere in January in a loan, in the team where he will play,” Stojadinovic told Blic.
“It must be an English club, so as not to make a mistake like Lazar Markovic did.
“Had Lazar been my client, I would never advise him to leave England.
“He changed the country, the style of football, the temperament, the climate, and therefore his return to Liverpool was an impossible mission.
“To return to Grujic, he is very much appreciated in Liverpool and therefore he did not go anywhere because they did not want to let him go.
“But he needs several minutes on the pitch and that is why loan is already the best solution for him in January to take his place in the starting line after returning to Liverpool.”
