Astroturf : Astrology knows no bounds

More than 15 years now, someone seeking an answer to his personal query, raised pertinent questions on the validity of the discipline of astrology. It deserves answer for common man’s understanding. The man asked: “Can I ever regain the position I lost, which I earlier held for a continued spell of 19 years? And if so, by when? But the problem is that I don’t know my exact date of birth, not to say anything of the exact time of birth — the particulars needed to cast one’s horoscope. For, my illiterate village bound parents were not aware of the relevance of keeping a record of birth particulars. Does astrology have provision to answer our questions even in the absence of birth particulars?”

“Let me tell you, astrology knows no bounds. Horary branch of astrology is a time-tested method for answering such questions, and with a fair amount of precision. Keeping your question in mind, quote a number between 1 and 249 that immediately flashes on your thought plane. And you will have an answer to your question,” I replied.

Quoting the number “247”, he raised another question: “What is the rationale behind such random questioning method in astrology?”

Well, bear in mind, there remains continuum in time and space in a cause-effect driven human life. Every effect has to be preceded by a cause and efforts thereto. And every effect, in turn, becomes the cause of future happening. Put it the other way, what comes about this moment is a culmination of doing and undoing in the past. And how we respond to the callings of this moment will set the stage for what is expected to come about in future. It will, therefore, not be unfair to surmise that in terms of the run of time, seeded in the present moment is the effects of happenings in the past, which sets the premise for future.

Now to look at things in applied terms: In astrology’s scheme of things, all units of time are primarily scaled in correspondence with the periodic motion of the two luminaries in the cosmos, the Sun and Moon. Their movements can be measured in quantifiable terms. Bear in mind, all planetary bodies are ever on their run, simultaneously reflecting their periodic as well as linear nature of motions. The planets are not to be seen just as physical bodies moving in the cosmos. They are energy providers of nature, playing from the front. In fact, the planets are markers of energy streams passing through a particular zone, with the particular planet in the centre, each reflecting particular characteristic features.

View it in the context of earth plane, which itself is moving at a great speed, in as much as that it completes one spin in 24 hours.  Evidently, the impact of energy flux excited by ever-moving cosmic bodies would vary widely every moment. And a look into the progression of planetary bodies speaks aloud of how thoughts excited in mind would evolve in emerging times, with efforts put in thereto.

It may be pertinent to note here that it is now a scientifically accepted fact that the whole universe is made out as a unified organism set into an inter-dependent framework. In this scheme of things, no individual existence has a reality independent of the entirety, which includes the observer. It implies that reverberations of echoes excited at a particular point in space shall be felt far and wide. That makes correspondence between varying dynamics of planetary bodies in the cosmos and individual life imperative, at least in the energy frame.

No wonder, high tides are seen on a full moon day when the Sun and Moon are opposite each other. Now, given the fact that gross human body contains 70 per cent water component, it is difficult to digest that such planetary alignments would not affect us one way or the other. It is, therefore, no surprise that the lunatics get affected the worst on such days. Such a correspondence between cosmic movement and plant behaviour, too, is in evidence. Every 11th year, following solar flare, the rings formed in the trees become thicker.

During solar eclipses, when the Sun, Moon, and Earth are all aligned on Rahu-Ketu axis, complete darkness is in evidence for a while even during day time. It may be debated that such events are just periodic astronomical happenings with no bearing on our lives. But there is no denying the fact that in absence of solar radiation, bacterial growth will multiply, and with obvious consequences. The issue continues.
