Sir — With the demise of renowned Hindi poet, Kunwar Narayan, the world of poetry has lost an eminent literary figure. He was among the last of the Doyen of Hindi literature. In paying tribute to the last of legendary, the Sahitya Akademi rightly called him the “most distuingshed Hindi poet and scholar who set a new trend for creative and decorative poetry through a number of immortal poems which vividly represent creative and amalgamation of the past and the present with lofty philosophies and beautiful poetic legacies”.
