The Chhattisgarh Government has claimed that the strike of ‘Shikshakarmis’ in the State has been ineffective.
The schools, specially in rural areas, are running without any problem and that alternative arrangements had been made in the schools for regular studies of students, it informed.
Secretary, School Education, Vikassheel on Wednesday convened a meeting with district collectors and the Chief Executive Officers of Zila Panchayats through video conferencing and reviewed the situation in the schools.
The Secretary in the meeting informed about the directives of the State Government that any how the studies of the students in the schools should not be affected .
According to information from officials, the Secretary was informed that almost 99 per cent schools were open except some in Mungeli and Balod.
The Secretary also discussed in detail about the alternative arrangements to be made to nullify the effect of strike. Apart from regular teachers, it was suggested that services of motivators of Sakshar Bharat Programme be taken. It was also instructed by the Secretary to bring back the teachers of schools who are at present working in other departments and offices on deputation.
The Secretary also instructed the officials to provide Mid-day meals regularly so that the students may show interest in coming to schools.
Around 1.80 lakh Shikshakarmis are on indefinite strike since Monday.
