She has also been an actress and singer, appeared on Broadway in the musical My One And Only in the 1980s and released an album, Romantically Yours, in 2011.

Twiggy, 68, lives in London with her husband, actor Leigh Lawson.

She has a daughter, Carly, one grandchild and two step grandchildren. 

“Weekends are all about ‘me’ time when we are in London.

We do sometimes stay in the countryside but usually we will be at home. 

“Late morning on a Saturday, I go and have a one-to-one Pilates class.

"Then I will probably go and have some retail therapy! I’m usually pretty organised around Christmas presents. We only put up the Christmas tree about 12 days before the actual day. It will be lovely to watch the grandchildrens’ faces as they open their presents.

“Every other weekend I will go and get a manicure and pedicure, which I adore. My new Marks & Spencer beauty range has a gift box of nail polishes. I feel so much better once my feet and hands are looking good. 

“At this time of year, I might invite four or five friends over to have Christmas evenings. If we are in on our own, I’ll work my way through dramas I’ve recorded. I love Scandi noir shows like The Bridge.

“On Sunday, we usually go for a walk with our grown-up children and their children. In the evening we’ll watch Countryfile and Antiques Roadshow.

"I am a great reader so I’ll always read before I go to bed.”
