
Marijuana grown in home with child prompts arrest

The Warren County Sheriff's Office released information about a child endangerment arrest made this week. The Warren County Department of Child Protective Services asked the sheriff for assistance on a home visit in Chestertown after receiving a report that marijuana was being grown there. On November 20 around 1:30 p.m., the home visit was in progress when marijuana plants were found in the home.
Chestertown resident Gene Gritzbach Jr., 25, was arrested and charged with unlawfully growing cannabis and endangering the welfare of a child.
Gritzbach Jr. was released to appear in the Town of Chester Court at a later date.
The case was investigated by Sheriff's Patrol Officer Michael F. LaVallie. The Warren County Narcotics Enforcement Unit also assisted at thescene. the Warren County Department of Child Protective Services assisted at the scene.
