HYDERABAD: In connection with the illegal Islamisation racket, Malkajgiri police arrested a forest beat officer working in Eturnagaram of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, for supplying kids to the gang.

Amer Pasha managed to send two kids from the district along with the Mohammed Siddiqui gang for illegal conversion. His nine associates including prime accused Siddiqui, have been arrested by Malkajgiri police following a tip from the security agencies. The gang was running Peace Orphan Home Trust at Malkajgiri, before shifting their base from LB Nagar, Balapur, Suryapet and Visakhapatnam.

The gang was involved in kidnapping and illegal conversion of kids. Police rescued 17 children including seven girls, among which two kids were trafficked by Amer. He was arrested on Wednesday.

The police on Wednesday had filed a custody petition in the court seeking five days custody of the nine accused gang members to find out their links with other organisations that are suspected to have encouraged by funding the trust.

Meanwhile, an forest department official posted at Eturunagaram said, “Amer Pasha’s son had visited four days ago and gave an application saying that his father is suffering from cold and fever and may not attend the duties. Since then, he is on leave.”Malkajgiri inspector Janaki Reddy said, “Forest beat officer Amer is arrested in connection with the case and remanded. The accused will be taken into custody for investigation.”
