The Indian Air Force is the first Air Force in the world which can fire a supersonic missile from an fighter plane. The IAF on Wednesday November 22 successfully test fired BrahMos missile from a Su-khoi fighter jet off the eastern coast hitting the ship target in the Bay of Bengal.
The Sukhoi Jet took off from Air Base Kalai Kunde in West Bengal. The air launched BrahMos missile is a 2.5 ton supersonic air to surface cruise missile with ranges of more than 290 kilometer. Now India has fastest assault missile in the world. This leap is a world record.
All the three wings of the Indian Armed Forces the Indian Army, the Indian Navy and now the Indian Air Force have powers of missile. Much earlier to this BrahMos missile was given to the Indian Army and it has developed three battalion of it and deployed on our borders with Pakistan and China.
In the year 2005 the BrahMos missiles were provided the Indian Navy which has installed it on its destroyers and Freegate warships. Now it is provided in the Indian Air Force also. The BrahMos missiles have enhanced the fire power much more of Armed Forces.
It can smash underground bunkers, command and control centres and enemy planes flying over our land and water territory. The IAF is the only Air Force which has missile power three times faster than sound.
The launch from the aircraft was smooth and the missile followed the desired trajectory before hitting the target. India has made history in the defence technology when the world’s fastest supersonic cruise missile test fired successfully.
The Armed Forces now have a multi-mission cruise missile, that can be launched from land, sea and air. This completes the tactical cruise missile fired for India which is the world record.
The President Mr.Ramnath Kovind, Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi and the Defence Minister Mrs.Nirmala Sitaraman hailed and congratulated the DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organization)for such a big innovation.
Till now we followed the innovations, inventions and technology of the other nations. This is perhaps for the first time then we have developed a new innovation on ourselves and the first will follow its.
Being a country of vast territory we have big network of the roadways, but while other nations have entered the era of bullet trains and mono rails, we are still struggling with the problem of tract renewed. The Railways should also have DRDO for the updating the new techniques.
