JEE Main 2018 dates announced

BHUBANESWAR: With the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) notifying the JEE Main 2018 on Thursday, the clock has started ticking for students seeking admission in all India institutes as well as State-based technical colleges.The offline examination for JEE Main 2018 would be held on April 8 whereas the online test will be held on April 15-16, next year.

Registration for the entrance would start on December 1 and continue till January 1. Applications would be accepted only online and Aadhaar card will be mandatory.Since Odisha had adopted the JEE Main route for admission into engineering colleges of the State, the limits of maximum three attempts and age barrier would not apply for those seeking entry into these colleges.

However, students aspiring to study in IITs and NITs, the ceiling of three attempts will apply.
Admit cards would be released in March. About 45,000 students will be appearing for JEE Main from the State, said sources.
