President’s intervention sought to help Rohingya

Kerala Manushyavakasa Koottayma, a group of human rights activists, has submitted a memorandum to the President and the Chief Justice, seeking their intervention to protect the rights of Rohingya refugees. The appeal, signed by leaders of prominent socio-religious organisations, called for preventing attempts to chase away refugees from the country. A separate memorandum was also sent for the consideration of the Governor and the Chief Minister, expressing solidarity with the cause.
