The second Azerbaijan's Intellectual Game Championship, organized by IRELI Public Association and Azerbaijan Ministry of Youth and Sports is underway.
With the participation of 1,400 young people, intellectual games "What? Where? When?", "Khamsa", "Find" and "Know your country"are being held in seventy cities and country's regions.
Qualifying rounds took place in nine country's regions, including Sumgayit, Guba, Terter, Ismayilli, Sheki, Mingachevir, Sabirabad, Lankaran and Nakhchivan.
Each city or region can be represented by only one team.
Aran regional tour was attended by teams from Mingachevir, Agdash, Barda, Goychay, Ujar, Yevlakh and Zardab, Trend Life reported.
Young people from Mingachevir took the first place in "Find" and "What? Where? When?" intellectual competitions.
Ujar team was first in "Know your country"competition. The victory also went to Barda team. Young people showed their best in "Khamsa" competition.
Ganja-Gazakh regional tour was attended by teams from Ganja, Gazakh, Shamkir, Goranboy, Goygol, Naftalan, Agstafa, Samukh and Tovuz.
Ganja team gained the victory in "What? Where? When?" "Know your country"intellectual competitions.
Tovuz team won in "Find" competition, while Goranboy team ranked first in "Khamsa" competition.
The winners of previous regional tours were the teams of Baku, Absheron, Guba and Terter.
Chairman of IRELIPublic UnionMirgasan Seyidov said that the state pays great attention to youth, creates all the conditions for the disclosure of creative potential and the realization of their ideas.
The main aim of the project, implemented within the state program "Azerbaijani youth in 2017-2021", is to developthe intellectual movement in the country, assist youth education and reveal talentedyoungpeople for participation in international games.
The best teams will take part in the final stage, which will be held in Baku.
The event will honor the memory of the Azerbaijan'snational leader Heydar Aliyev. The winners will be awarded with medals, certificates and valuable prizes.
