India lost KL Rahul early as the hosts were 11/1 at stumps. Earlier, Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers with 4/67 as Sri Lanka were all out for 205 in the first innings. Ravindra Jadeja and Ishant Sharma contributed with three scalps each. For the visitors, Dimuth Karunaratne and Dinesh Chandimal scored half centuries after they won the toss and decided to bat first.
