Indo-French cultural center organising an exhibition of paintings

Alliance française de Bhopal, the Indo-French cultural center, is organising an exhibition of paintings, Krishna Tales – Celebrating the life of Lord Krishna in Pichwai paintings, curated by interior architect, Mrs. Ravisha Merchant on Thursday, 23rd November at 6:30 pm.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Mr. Manoj Shrivastava, Principal Secretary, Department of Culture, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh. The exhibition shall be on view until 30 Nov 2017.

The gallery can be visited between 10 am to 07:30 pm except Sundays and public holidays. This exhibition is the opening event of the four-month long festival of Bonjour India for which a press conference will be held on the same day at 6 pm.

Pichwai Paintings originated in the holy town of Nathdwara near Udaipur, Rajasthan. Intricately painted and visually stunning, they narrate tales from Lord Krishna’s life.
