CHANDIGARH: The Punjab and Haryana high court has asked both power distribution companies (discoms) of Haryana to inform the court what action had been taken against instances of construction near high-tension wires.
The high court had asked for these details after it was informed that more than 7,500 notices were had been issued to the people after a series of accidents was reported due to high tension wires.
A division bench comprising Justice A K Mittal and Justice Amit Rawal passed these orders while hearing an ongoing petition regarding human lives being endangered due to the high tension wires crossing residential areas of the state.
