CHHAPRA: The J P University senate has passed a deficit budget of Rs 404.15 crore for fiscal 2018-19.
Pro-vice-chancellor of the university A K Jha said latest guidelines of the state government, such as enhancement of dearness allowance from 125 % to 155% for the 410 teachers and 427 non-teaching staff of the university, have been followed. The budget will now be sent to the education department for incorporation in the annual budget of the state. The pro-VC said possible expenditure on the vacant posts has also been incorporated in the proposed budget. "We have taken into account expected incomes from different sources which will be around Rs 14.76 crore," said Jha. TNN
