Law and order collapsed under BJP Govt: Cong

| | Dehradun | in Dehradun

Citing the gang war killing at a court in Roorkee on Monday, the Congress has alleged that the law and order system in the State has collapsed under the Bharatiya Janata Party State Government.  The Pradesh Congress Committee president Pritam Singh said that the State Government had completed about eight months in office but the law and order situation in the State had collapsed.

He said that the Roorkee shootout in which one gang member was shot dead while under police protection, had only shown the alarming deterioration in law and order. He said, “The chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat very often talks about the state government having zero-tolerance to corruption. But, he does not seem to notice anomalies in his own cabinet.

The husband of one of his minister’s has been accused of anomaly in a kidney transplant and land deals. Whether it be incidents related to poaching of wild animals or anomalies in kitty business, someone in the BJP turns out to be connected to such instances of shady business.” He further questioned the manner in which the state Panchayati Raj minister Arvind Pandey had ‘misbehaved’ with Panchayat representatives at the Panchayat Mahakumbh held recently in Haridwar.
