Two absconders arrested in Rajouri

Two fugitives, involved in a case of breach of peace, were arrested in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, police said today.

Acting on a tip-off, police conducted raids in Bhangai in the Thanamandi belt of Rajouri district and arrested Mohd Shabir and Makhna last night, a police officer said.


Both were wanted in a case from 2016 under various sections of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC) including 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint) and 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), the officer said.
