Posting a video on his YouTube account, the 22-year-old star said: "I just want to start off with that I'm sorry. I'm sure that a lot of you have seen that a lot of stuff has been written in the press over the last few days, so I thought the least you deserved was for me to come home and just talk and explain everything that's been going on.

"I'm sorry to anyone I've upset or offended or made feel uncomfortable. Growing up my entire life has been on social media, and through that it has led to social media being my job." 

He continued: "I've messed up, I've been really stupid in the past, I've tweeted some bad things some horrible things, some pretty disgusting things that I'm ashamed of."

While the star, who is Conor Maynard's brother, left the jungle camp under mysterious circumstances, he was keen to share all on his past and to apologise to his fans. 

"This is a video that I've never wanted to make, I've never wanted to make anything like this," he revealed. "I was so careless and inconsiderate to other people, I was young, I was stupid, I was careless, I just wasn't thinking and this was back when I was in school."

Jack went on to admit that he hopes through his experience he can convince others not to make the same mistakes.

He said: "I was stupid, I said some really inconsiderate things, it's hard. Growing up online is hard, and all I can do is beg and encourage that you guys don't make the same mistake."

Following the vlogger's sudden removal from the ITV series, viewers were left in confusion when presenters Ant and Dec failed to show the other celebrities' reaction. 

They simply declared: “Due to circumstances outside camp, Jack has had to withdraw from the show."

Jack's agent stated: "Since it is only fair that everyone should be aware of any allegations made against them and should also have the right to defend themselves, it was agreed it would be better to bring him out.

“Jack agrees with this decision which was made by his representatives and ITV, and thanks everyone who has supported him in the show this far.”

Continuing to apologise to his legions of followers, Jack added: "I just feel like I've let so many of you down. It's a horrible horrible feeling in the way that this has all happened. Since I was 16, obviously I was a kid. I've done so much growing up since then a lot has changed my entire life my entire world has changed."
