Chelsea news: Cesc Fabregas needs this to play with more freedom - Glenn Hoddle
GLENN HODDLE has claimed that Cesc Fabregas needs only one things to be able to truly express himself at Stamford Bridge.
And that dependable comes in the shape of N’Golo Kante.
The diminutive Frenchman missed the last month with a thigh problem as Chelsea picked up only one point from their two Champion League clashes with Roma.
But the Blues made amends and booked their place in the knockout stages with a 4-0 thrashing of Azerbaijan outfit Qarabag yesterday.
Penalties from Eden Hazard and Fabregas, along with a Willian brace, secured the victory which leaves them top of Group C.
And former Chelsea player and manger Hoddle thinks the whole team runs better with Kante at the heart-beat.

It is good for Fabregas if they are going to play him in the centre of the pitch.
“It just shows that they missed him so much,” Hoddle told ITV Sport.
“It is good for Fabregas if they are going to play him in the centre of the pitch.
“It gives him a bit more security.
“It gets the technicians on the ball quicker because he wins the ball back.
“He’ll knick it, pinch it and feed people.

“That is what he is great at. He is an all-round player.
Meanwhile, fellow pundit Roy Keane echoed Hoddle’s remarks.
“Not just Fabregas, the defenders will be glad to see him in front of them,” Keane said.
“Normally the defenders like to have one or two people in front of them.
“You don’t realise how good a player he is until he is out of the team.”
