Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer ‘Guzaarish’ had its fair share of controversies. Aditya Dewan, a lawyer in Delhi HC, filed a PIL against the film and the makers for promoting mercy killing, which is illegal.
FIR was filed against the makers, and eventually Bhansali had to change the title of his film from ‘Ram-Leela’ to ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela’.
Interestingly, Mastani descendants had many problems with the film ‘Bajirao Mastani’, as they found the cast of the film inappropriate for the characters they were playing.
Currently, Bhansali’s most controversial film is ‘Padmavati’ starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. A group of people vandalised the film’s set in Jaipur, back in April and have also been demanding a ban on the film.
