The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) administrator Mark Green during his visit to India from November 28 to December 1 will have multiple engagements in different cities, including participating in the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Hyderabad.

At the GES, he will interact with women entrepreneurs and discuss how women could become more active in the economic development of their communities.

He will also visit a diagnostics lab to meet public health professionals, tuberculosis survivors and corporate-sector representatives, regarding joint efforts in advancing India’s goal of becoming tuberculosis-free by 2025, a USAID release said.

The two-and-half-day long GES in Hyderabad, which gets under way on November 28, is the 8th edition of the annual series and set to see participation of over 1,500 entrepreneurs and investors besides some of the well known names in their chosen fields globally, as speakers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and United States President’s adviser and daughter Ivanka Trump would be participating in the inaugural session.

Accompanying Mr. Green to the GES would be USAID’s Senior Deputy Assistant Administrator and Senior Coordinator for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Michelle Bekkering.

In New Delhi, he would meet with Central government officials to discuss on strengthening the US-India strategic partnership.

He would conclude his visit at Mumbai, where he will participate in an event to commemorate World AIDS Day on December 1, the release said.
