Two advocates killed, two injured as speeding car rams into tractor

KALABURAGI: Two advocates killed and two others were injured when the car, they were travelling in, rammed into a tractor near Mallabad cross of Afzalpur taluk, near here, on Wednesday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Sriranga Khedkar and Ramesh Dodmani. Circle Inspector of Afzalpur J H Inamdar told The New Indian Express that the incident occurred when the advocates and their clients were on their way to Afzalpur. 

The police said that the car had recorded a speed of 140 Km/h when the accident occurred.

The driver and a client who sustained injuries have been admitted to Kalaburagi District Government Hospital. A case has been registered at Afzalpur Police Station.

In a separate incident, five persons were killed on Tuesday morning when the cruiser in which they were travelling collided head-on with an oil tanker near Avarad village of Kalaburagi taluk.
