Celebrating India-France ties on Jaipur’s 290th foundation day

Jaipur's 290th foundation day, which was on Saturday, became all the more special as the city played host to the launch of Bonjour India 2017 at Amber Fort. Illustrating the beautiful relationship between India and France, the third edition of this festival saw a host of important guests attending the event, including union minister Prakash Javadekar; minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian, Ambassador of France to India, H.E. Alexandre Ziegler; his wife, Veronique; and director of the Institut Francais India, Dr Bertrand de Hartingh, among others.

Talking about India's relationship with France, Jean-Yves Le Drian said, "We are here to celebrate the relationship between India and France. And there is no better day than today, when the Pink City, known for its art and heritage, is celebrating its foundation day."
