PLYMOUTH >> Authorities are investigating an apparent homicide that took place in a shopping center in the 400 block of Ridge Pike shortly before 6 p.m. Monday.

Plymouth Township police and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office have released few details, but multiple sources have reported that the male victim was found stabbed in a vehicle in the parking lot adjacent to the Conshohocken Outback Steakhouse.

On Tuesday afternoon all was quiet outside the strip mall where the victim’s body was discovered, but visitors to the shopping center expressed their concerns.

“I’m somewhat shocked,” said shopper Dietrich Carlson. “You usually don’t hear about stuff like that in this area. I hear they have something on tape, so I hope they catch the guys who did it.”

Surveillance video obtained by 6abc shows two people exiting the vehicle the victim was driving moments before the car slowly drifted through the parking lot, coming to rest at the bumpers of a pair of parked cars as its driver appeared to slump over behind the wheel.

First responders reportedly cleared the crime area and towed the Buick sedan from the scene early Tuesday morning.

His identity has not been released.
