45-year-old former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly made an innocent gaffe after he commented on a picture shared by "The Turbanator" Harbhajan Singh on Twitter.

On Monday, Singh posted an adorable picture with his wife and actress Geeta Basra and daughter Hinaya at the Golden Temple.

Dada who is not so much active on the microblogging site Twitter, however, took notice of Bhajji's picture and had some nice things to say.

Dada wrote, "Beta bahut sundar hai bhajj..bahut pyar dena. (Your son is very beautiful Bhajji, give him lots of love)."

The Bengal Tiger took no time to realise that he had committed a gaffe and later posted a rectification tweet. He wrote, "maf karna beti bahut sundoor hai..getting old bhajj .. (Forgive me, your daughter is beautiful. I'm getting old Bhajji."

Of course, Bhajji didn't mind the slip of tongue from Ganguly and thanked him for the blessings and returned love to Sana (Ganguly's daughter), while also hoping to catch-up with him soon. He wrote, "Dada thank you for your blessings..love to Sana.. hope to see u soon"

Of course, the exchange had the social media users all excited.

Ganguly on Monday said he did not want to compare Virat Kohli with batting great Sachin Tendulkar, saying the current team captain will score many more hundreds like the one at Eden Gardens against Sri Lanka on Monday.

Kohli was not out on 104 off 119 balls in the second innings helping India post 352/8 decl. and set Sri Lanka a 231-run target.

This was Kohli's 50th international hundred -- 18th in Tests, 11th as skipper, and the first at the hallowed ground. Tendulkar has 100 hundreds to his name. "It's too early to compare him with Sachin. He still has to make 50 more centuries. But the way he is going, he will make many more such hundreds," Ganguly told reporters at close of play.
