Alien UFO 'cover up' claim after astronaut's ISS video of object heading to Earth emerges
VIDEO of an object entering Earth's atmosphere filmed by an astronaut on the International Space Station (ISS) has led to bizarre claims of an "alien UFO cover up."
European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Paolo Nespolit released the footage filmed from the ISS, saying it was a meteorite entering Earth’s atmosphere.
The ESA appeared to be perfectly open with the footage, and scientists agreed at his diagnosis adding the meteorite had hurtled towards Earth.
However, it led to immediate cover up claims from a notorious alien conspiracy theorist Tyler Glockner, who runs YouTube channel Secureteam10.
In a video highlighting the footage, he said: “I don’t think it’s meteorite at all.
"What any people may not realise is that this video is a time lapse.
“You’re seeing the Earth spinning at a high rate of speed and we see this flash of light coming from space.

“When you account how fast the Earth would have actually been moving, had this not been sped up, it would have been moving much, much slower.
"Speeds that are slower than even the slowest meteorites.”
Mr Glockner is no scientist, and has even been added to a series of UFO website and YouTube channel blacklists by other researchers who claim he uses misleading or previously debunked footage, and makes outlandish claims.
Yet, in the video, he compared the meteor to clips of the Perseid meteor shower in 2011, to try to prove his conspiracy theory.
Comparing the two examples he said: “If you compare this to what they are calling a meteor in this new footage, at no time does this so called meteor look like anything that was captured back in 2011 – it just doesn’t.
“It’s a short, stubby object that looks nothing like the other meteor here. We can see this discharge, the energy coming from the back of it.”
So where is the cover up?

Mr Glockner said he believes the fact the ESA released a statement so quickly after the strange sighting, it proves that it was trying to conceal the truth about what really was heading to Earth.
Detlef Koschny, co-manager of the Near-Earth Object (NEO) division of ESA’s Space Situational Awareness team, said: "It looks like a bright meteor, or fireball. One can see the fireball illuminating the clouds from above, so it must have been close to them — and close to the Earth’s limb. It also seems to show a little tail."
However, other members of the UFO community are not happy with Mr Glockner for cheapening genuine research.
Scott Brando, who runs debunking website ufoofinterest.org told Express.co.uk: "It was a meteor seen and confirmed by Italian ESA astronaut Paolo Nespoli."

He also tweeted: "What a shame! There are some like SecureTeam10 who think this is not a meteor but something else."
Nigel Watson, UK-based author of the UFO Investigations Manual, said: "NASA and the ESA can't win when it comes to dealing with UFOs.
"In this instance, SecureTeam10 are complaining that the agency rushed to release the footage and has only put forward a meteor as the explanation.
"I'd rather believe the ESA than SecureTeam10 any day.
"Even if it were debris, it doesn't turn it into a extraterrestrial scoutship filled with tentacled aliens on a mission to invade our planet, which is what SecureTeam10 imagines every time they see a blob of light filmed by NASA cameras."
