A school student was killed and two others injured when the motorbike they were travelling in rammed a Tata magic after hitting a divider near K.V.college under the Bokaro Thermal police station here on Thursday evening.
Police said they suspect over-speeding caused the accident, adding that the incident was reported on Phusro-Kathara road, said Inspector cum officer in charge Prameshwar Leyangi.
According to eyewitnesses, the motorbike was running at a speed of about 70 to 80 km per hour when the accident took place. A bid to overtake dumper is also suspected. The deceased has been identified as Rahul Kumar Pandey (14) resident of Banaso temple of Bermo block. Two others, who were in the motorcycle and were injured, have been identified as Suraj Pandey ,Sumit Pandey . A case has been registered at Bokaro Thermal police station and body has been sent to Tenughat for autopsy.
