CM Pinarayi Vijayan to open 69th NCC Day celebration

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the 69th National Cadet Corps (NCC) Day celebration at Central Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram, at 3 pm on November 27.

An equestrian event, under the aegis of 1(K) R&V Squadron NCC, Mannuthi, and aero-modelling and ship modelling will be part of the celebrations. An NCC Day Run will be conducted on November 23 at 7 am from Kowdiar to the Palayam War Memorial. Cultural events, blood donation camp, awareness programme drug abuse and traffic, visits to old age homes and orphanages, planting of trees will be organised throughout the state on November 22, Major General Anoop Kumar V, Additional Director-General, NCC (Kerala and Lakshadweep), said.
