The prestigious 48th Indian Film Festival of India kicked off in Goa on Monday with the likes of Union Minister Smriti Irani, actors Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, debuting actors Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor, veteran star Sridevi accompanied by her husband Boney Kapoor and several other celebrities and personalities from all walks of life showing up at the inaugurating ceremony.
And while the inauguration was a star-studded affair, it was also a stylish one, with celebrities turning up dressed in their best for the first day of the coveted film festival.
Among the many celebrities present at the event, the ones who literally stood out for their amazing sense of style and impressive fashion selections were mother-daughter duo Sridevi and Janhvi Kapoor and Padmavati star Shahid Kapoor.
While it was Janhvi's first appearance at a public platform after the posters of her Bollywood debut Dhadak was recently released, the starlet made sure she did no mistakes and got her style game on point.
She looked pretty, sporting a fusion look, courtesy Anamika Khanna. Janhvi opted for separates from the designer's atelier that included a draped embroidered skirt and a matching embroidered crop top. Soft curls, a black clutch and a dash of muted colour on her lips finished off the diva's look. While Janhvi looked like a vision in the attire, we wished she opted for better footwear though!

Janhvi's mother and the always graceful Sridevi stole the show at the event with her beautiful Sabyasachi saree, and looked ethereal in the traditional Indian six yard wonder -- a Kanjeevaram saree from the designer's Vasanthalaxmi collection. She paired the beautiful saree with a clutch, courtesy Bottega Veneta and rounded off her look with a low bun and beautiful jewellery.
Take a look.

Last but not the least, actor Shahid Kapoor, who has been on a slaying spree ever since he shed his Padmavati look, looked dapper in an all black outfit. The multi-angled pinstripe suit from designer Gaurav Gupta's 'Diamond Demons' menswear collection was just the perfect addition to the overall look.
