Manushi Chhillar brought the Miss World crown back to India after a long break of 17 years. The medical student from Haryana made India proud at the world stage bringing home glory clinching the title and becoming the sixth Indian to win the prestigious title. But her joyous journey would have been impossible without the proper mentoring and guidance from India’s top models, actors and, of course, ace fashion designers, who made sure she looked amazing in every appearance. From Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla to Manish Malhotra, check out the amazing wardrobe that helped Miss India become the Miss World 2017, all curated by designer Rocky Star and her stylist Sheefa J Gilani. For the finale, 20-year-old Chhillar was seen in a sensuous nude beaded gown from the house of designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock. The embellished gown with a deep plunging neckline and a small train was gorgeous. It was paired with statement diamond danglers, smokey brown eyes, dewy make-up and nude lips. With hair left open in beach waves, it was simple yet classy.

The Haryana girl, who won the Miss India contest earlier this year also won the Beauty with Purpose award at the mega event. For the competition, she had opted for an off-shoulder gown, also from Falguni and Shane Peacock. The embellished number with feathered detail at the hem and a thigh-high slit gave her a flattering silhouette. She teamed that with hair brushed in a straight sleek look, signature smokey eyes and brown lips. A pair of sleek danglers by Aquamarine jewellery rounded things out.

Indian beauty and without a sari look? Not possible. She was seen in a baby pink tulle sari by Manish Malhotra during a panel interview with international judges. The light six-yards with silver leaf designs were complemented with simple diamond bangles and small studs. With tresses styled in soft curls and light blush pink, she gave a regal vibe.

At the welcome party in China during the IBC Fashion Week, Chhillar looked stunning in a lehenga by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. The heavily embroidered golden lehenga with a tulle dupatta spoke finesse and elegance. She tied her hair back into a neat bun with neutral make-up to perfectly balance the heavy attire. With just a pair of long earrings from Tipsyfly, stylist Sheefa J Gilani did a good job with dark kohled eyes.

She was spotted in another multi-colour vibrant lehenga from the duo during her stay in China. The ‘Resham Patola’ ghagra by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla was paired with big chand bali and polka kadha.

During her road to Miss World, she also attended a charity auction in China wearing a red floor-length gown by Gauri and Nainika. The backless gown was elegant and she looked like a vision at the event. Acing the colour-blocking trend, Chhillar paired it with big diamond earrings and matching bracelet from Aquamarine and Curio Cottage jewellery.

For the special BBQ dinner hosted in Shenzhen for all the Miss World contestants, she wore a short golden cocktail dress from Lavanya Coodly’s collection.

For her other appearances during her stay in China, she was spotted wearing various chic dresses and pantsuit that gave a boho and sometimes classy vibe.
