Revealed: Meghan Markle’s ancestor was beheaded by King Henry VIII in ROYAL REVELATION

AN ANCESTOR of Meghan Markle was beheaded by King Henry VIII, it has been revealed.

New studies into the Suits star’s family tree has shed light on the life of one of her ancestors that was sentenced to death as well as having his wealth and land confiscated.

Lord Hussey, 1st Baron Hussey of Sleaford, was a relative of the 36-year-old who lived from 1466 to 1537.

The Baron was knighted for loyalty to Henry VIII at the Battle of Blackheath on June 17, 1497 before later being accused of treason after a rebellion took place against the King in 1536 known as the Pilgrimage of Grace.

Lord Hussey was imprisoned in the Tower of London and later executed.

The new discovery comes from Michael Reed, an Australian teacher and historian who studied Ms Markle’s family tree.

He said: “You can’t just look at one parent. You must look at both sides to get the full picture.

“It’s incredible that Meghan's great-great-great maternal grandfather was a slave and the other great-great-great paternal grandmother was a New Hampshire landowner, who had royal blood.”

The American actress also appears to have a connection to the royals after ties to King of England John Plantagenet were found.

The royal revelation comes after it was recently revealed that Ms Markle and Prince Harry are related.

The pair are related through a late 15th Century ancestor of the Queen – Meghan shares the relation through her Dad, Thomas Markle, who has recently given the royal relationship his seal of approval.

The investigation by The Mail on Sunday traced the Markle family all the way back to an Englishman called Ralph Bowes, Meghan’s ancestor from 15 generations ago.

Mr Bowes is the couple's shared ancestor and was a High Sheriff of County Durham, whose family seat was Streatlam Castle with its extensive estates.

The Bowes estates and Streatlam Castle continued to pass down through a succession of male heirs.

The smitten couple are expected to increase their commitment to each other as rumours of Meghan planning a move to England have been swirling.

The evidence appears to be mounting that the Suits star is set to get much closer to Prince Harry after a friend stated that she is preparing her dogs for a move across the pond.

The source in the 36-year-old’s circle revealed that her labrador - shepherd mix Bogart and beagle Guy are being prepared a move to England.

The source said: “She is very close to those two dogs. She lets them sleep on her bed and they eat only the highest quality organic food.

“She bought them Union flag dog jumpers to keep them warm when they were puppies.”

The source also told The Sun: “She misses them when she is away and will even get someone to FaceTime her with them.

“The fact she’s started the process of moving them to England is the clearest hint yet that she sees her future living in London with Harry.”

Ms Markle's dogs will have to be microchipped, given a rabies vaccination and have a blood test before they will be allowed to fly.
